The Challenge

The client’s environment involves substantial amount of data especially the generated CDRs from the systems. With such environment that host huge amount of data currently and in the future, a proper backup and recovery solution needs to be put in place in order to protect such data should there be any data loss at any point of time. The requirements for different backup strategy and policies for different types of data have become a challenge to administrator as to manage these data in a proper manner. A properly designed backup and recovery strategy will minimize data loss at any point of time and allow better resource utilization with optimum performance.

GLOCOMP has worked closely with client organization key data protection personnel during requirements gathering stage to understand the nature of such system and what backup and recovery strategy is best suit their environment. With the collaboration of best practices and requirements from client data protection team, GLOCOMP has developed effective backup policies as accepted by client team. With our proven architecture development methodology, estimated backup windows have also been calculated for environment using the currently given hardware and infrastructure. It was a 30-day assignment using different data gathering methods with proven methodologies.
