LAN Switches
A LAN switch, also known as an Ethernet switch or data switch is the basic building block of today’s IT infrastructure. As application performance, support, and scalability become more critical for business success, a reliable LAN switch becomes more important. Technologies used for real-time collaboration applications, such as Voice over IP (VoIP) and TelePresence; require LAN switch networks to provide reliable, intelligent, high-speed connectivity among users, applications, and communication systems.

Metro Ethernet Switches
Metro Series switches are a new line of premier multilayer switches that bring greater intelligence to the metro Ethernet edge, enabling the delivery of more differentiated metro Ethernet services. Featuring hierarchical quality of service (QoS) and traffic shaping, intelligent 802.1Q tunneling, VLAN mapping, Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS) and Ethernet over MPLS (EoMPLS) support are ideal for service providers seeking to deliver profitable business services, such as Layer 2, Layer 3, and MPLS VPNs, in a variety of bandwidths and with different service-level agreements (SLAs).

WAN Switches
Multiservice or WAN Switch is a high-end multiservice switch designed to scale multiservice networks to OC-192c/STM-64 offers service providers the greatest level of choice and control over extensions of existing infrastructure as well as providing a seamless path to future services. Multiple, simultaneous control planes support unmatched flexibility and scalability in deploying, managing, and modifying a complete range of ATM and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS).

ATM Switches
Are Layer 3-enhanced ATM switch that seamlessly integrates wire-speed Layer 3 switching and ATM switching, eliminating the need to make a technology choice to deliver campus and metropolitan network solutions with scalable performance, lower cost of ownership, and intranet-based application features to deliver increased business productivity. Unlike old first- or second-generation ATM switches that force customers to have a costly, inefficient, multi-system solution, the new generation switch provides an integrated ATM and Gigabit Ethernet solution in a product.
