Mozilla announced that it is changing the default settings on its browser Firefox to block all third-party cookies. Firefox SVP Dave Camp unveiled that Mozilla plans to integrate privacy as a standard. Here’s how it works:

When a new user installs and downloads Firefox for the first time, Enhanced Tracking Protection is automatically set to “on” as a default setting. This will now be a standard for all Firefox users. The Enhanced Tracking Protection blocks known third-party tracking cookies.

This isn’t the only privacy procedure update for Firefox, though. Mozilla is also upgrading:

• A Facebook Container extension
• A Firefox desktop extension for Lockwise to help keep passwords safe across all platforms
• The Firefox Monitor’s new dashboard to manage multiple email addresses

All of these privacy updates are a result of the hot-button privacy issues amongst Big Tech. However, Mozilla also wants to expand the choices its consumers have when it comes to online privacy.
