We are seeking a talented and results-oriented professional to join our team as a Business Development Specialist with a focus on Cloud and Support Renewal. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and nurturing business opportunities related to cloud services and support renewals for government agencies. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, build strong relationships with clients, and contribute to the growth and expansion of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate opportunities:
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities in the cloud services and support renewal sector for government agencies.
  • Evaluate market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to develop a comprehensive understanding of the target market.
  • Develop business strategies:
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop business strategies and action plans for driving growth in cloud services and support renewal for government agencies.
  • Define and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue generation and achieve business objectives.
  • Client relationship management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients in order to drive customer satisfaction, retention, and upsell opportunities.
  • Understand clients' business needs, pain points, and objectives to effectively position our cloud services and support renewal solutions.
  • Sales and pipeline management:
  • Identify and engage potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking, industry events, and referrals.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, track progress, and provide regular reports on sales activities, forecasts, and revenue projections.
  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements to ensure mutually beneficial agreements for both the client and the organization.
  • Collaborative partnership:
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure seamless delivery of cloud services and support renewals for government agencies.
  • Provide input and feedback to internal teams based on customer requirements and market insights, contributing to product enhancements and new service offerings.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the cloud services or technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, support renewal processes, and related market dynamics for government agencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse market trends, identify business opportunities, and develop strategic plans.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding on customer’s business and technology needs and requirements related to Computing, Storage, Information Management Systems and Architectures (CSIA).
  • Translate needs and requirements into comprehensive and competitive solutions, which includes preparation of Solution Design and Architecture, Solution Brief, Solution Proposal, Bill of Material and Solution Presentation.
  • For engagement that requires to showcase solutions capability, individual is required to lead and perform hands-on showcase (e.g. POC, Demo).

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience as pre-sales technical role (architect, consultant or engineer), preferably with experience in Manufacturing Industry
  • Professional Services hands-on experience will be an added advantage and consultative skills is essential.
  • Posses’ good knowledge and experience in Computing, Server Virtualization, Data Storage, Storage Networking, Converged Infrastructure, Disaster Recovery, Cloud and Hybrid IT and Storage technologies and solutions.
  • Preferably familiar with Veritas Software, NetApp, Quantum, VMware and Cisco Data Center (DC) products and solutions.
  • Possess Industry Qualification such as SNIA Architect or equivalent qualification is essential.

Requirement: -

  • Technical knowledge in security products and solutions such as firewall, Intrusion Prevention system (IPS), Advanced Threat Management (ATM), Privilege Access Management (PAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Advanced Security Operations Centre (ASOC) & cloud security.

In this role, you will be responsible for qualifying leads, generating opportunities, and supporting the Account Manager in closing deals. You will also be responsible for supporting tender submissions for customers.
