After a thorough search, I’m very pleased to announce Andy Elder as our new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), effective May 12, 2025. Andy joins us from Microsoft, where he served as corporate vice president of Microsoft Security Solutions, leading a multibillion-dollar expansion of one of their fastest-growing business units. With Andy’s deep Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) sales experience and impressive 25-year track record of driving growth at prominent technology companies–including Cisco, Intel Security, Palo Alto Networks, and Riverbed Technology–I’m confident he’ll bring the same innovation and energy to accelerate Autodesk’s momentum and help us achieve our ambitious goals.
Andy is a seasoned executive who believes sustainable success comes from solving customer problems through a combination of sales excellence, technical expertise, and innovative technology solutions. In addition to his work at Microsoft, Andy spent 13 years at Cisco where he transformed multiple technology segments into billion-dollar business units. He also pioneered innovative technology deployments in complex environments and consistently exceeded regional expansion targets across multiple continents. At Palo Alto Networks, Andy was responsible for leading the division that generated over three-quarters of company-wide business and spearheaded growth initiatives that put the company on track to nearly double its revenue. Andy brings a proven track record of achieving multi-year growth targets ahead of schedule with a history of successfully scaling businesses through critical transformation periods.
Andy’s approach will build upon Autodesk’s strong revenue foundation and further enhance sales efficiency to increase customer lifecycle value across our global markets.
Based in the Netherlands, Andy has lived and worked across Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East, bringing a unique global perspective that will be invaluable as we continue to grow and evolve our go-to-market model.
