Introducing Surface Pro X: Pushing the boundaries on mobility, productivity and creativity

Pre-orders starts 9 January 2020 in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, 8 January 2020 – Microsoft today announced that the Surface Pro X will be available for pre-orders in Malaysia starting 9 January 2020.

The all-new Surface Pro X is the latest addition to the Surface family and presents an enhanced mobility experience that is powerful and always connected. The thinnest Surface also stands out with a virtually stunning, edge-to-edge 13” touchscreen, and comes equipped with LTE connectivity[1].

“We know that our customers value and are fond of our efforts to push the boundaries of innovation to better meet their work and play needs. However, they continue to seek for a category-shifting experience that will enable them to be even more mobile, productive and creative – whether in the office or even at home.  Surface Pro X represents what’s next for us as we continue our journey to create the next-generation device optimised to meet our customers’ demands for increased portability, versatility and performance, and as such we are pleased to be able to bring this new device to the Malaysian market,” said Michal Golebiewski, Chief Marketing & Operations Officer, Microsoft Malaysia.

Surface Pro X: Designed to Impress, Powered for Productivity

The all-new Surface Pro X is Microsoft’s thinnest, lightest, most powerful and most connected 2-in-1 laptop ever. It is a device that is designed to help users to be mobile as they go from meetings to meetings; airports to hotels; and even for home to catch-up on their favourite video content.

Measuring a mere 7.3mm and weighing at 774g[2], Surface Pro X features a brilliant 13” edge-to-edge PixelSense™ Display in a 12” form factor, with our signature 3:2 ratio to help users’ maximise their workspace. The device is powered by the all-new, custom Microsoft® SQ1™ processor developed in partnership with Qualcomm, creating a device that enables an incredible combination of pixels, performance, thinness, battery life and constant LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity. The device also comes equipped with removable[3] solid-state drive (SSD) options, as well as dual 4K video output via USB-C.

Surface Pro X offers mobility and lasting speed with all-day battery life[4] of up to 13 hours, fast-charging to about 80% in approximately an hour[5] and LTE connectivity so that users can stay connected with their offices, and even their loved ones – wherever they are.

Create intuitively with the Surface Pro X

surfaceThe Surface line-up has been well-loved by creators for its support for inking, as well as support for mouse and keyboard input – enabling creators to create the way they want, whether is it through Adobe Gemini, Microsoft 365, or even Whiteboard or OneNote.

The Surface Pro X will feature new accessories to help users transform their device into a full laptop, or a portable studio. With the all-new Surface Pro X Signature Keyboard, Surface Slim Pen as well as the Surface Arc Mouse, users can create intuitively in the manner they choose.

To counter one of the common issues our users have with their Surface Pen, the all-new Surface Slim Pen can now be recharged and stored securely in the new, Alcantara® covered Surface Pro X Signature Keyboard, which features a laptop-class keyset, backlit keys, and large multi-touch glass trackpad.
